Murray man jailed following traffic stop

A Murray man was arrested on drug charges following a Monday morning traffic stop,

The Calloway County Sheriff's Office said 29-year-old Joveon M. Lawrence was pulled over on KY 80 East.

As deputies approached Lawrence's vehicle, they observed him tamper with possible evidence.

He was believed to be under the influence of a substance other than alcohol which impaired his driving ability.

Lawrence was lodged in the Calloway County Detention Center.
