Murray man arrested for second time on theft of mail charges

A Murray man arrested in December on charges of taking mail from 12 mailboxes in the Panorama Shores area of Calloway County was arrested Tuesday for a second time.

The Calloway County Sheriff's Office said 29-year-old Austin Jones was taken into custody after a search warrant was executed at his residence. Multiple items from other victims were obtained, along with weapons. 

Jones was charged with an additional 10 counts of possession of stolen mail and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  He was lodged in the Calloway County Detention Center.
