A $100,000 donation in memory of a Murray State graduate has been made to the university's scholarship program.
Rick and Susie McDonald, parents of the late Randall Lee McDonald, recently gifted $100,000 into the Randy Lee McDonald Memorial Scholarship in memory of their son, who passed away in 2001.
Randall graduated from Murray State in 1994 with an accounting degree. After graduating, he opened the accounting firm McDonald and McDonald, PSC, in Eddyville.
Randy Lee grew up in Texas, but went back to his family roots in western Kentucky. Randy's father attended in 1957-58; his uncle, Roy, graduated in 1934 and went on to be a Kentucky state senator as well as superintendent of schools inTrigg County. His paternal grandparents also attended Murray State University, with his grandmother being a member of the MSU basketball team in 1928.
