Murray National Guard unit deploying to Kosovo

The 438th Military Police Company from Murray will be deploying to Kosovo on Wednesday.

Family, friends, and  leaders from the Kentucky National Guard will gather at The Barn at White Oaks, in Murray, for a farewell ceremony. 

The unit will provide Military Police Liaison Officer Support as a part of Operation Joint Guardian. The deployment for the 20 Soldier unit is scheduled last a year.

Since September 11th, 2001, the unit has been deployed to Cuba in 2002, and Iraq in 2007.
