Murray-Calloway County Hospital welcomes first baby of 2022

The Murray-Calloway County Hospital welcomed Riley Anne Friesen on Saturday, its first baby of 2022.

Carlos and Landyn Friesen of Sedalia began 2022 as the proud new parents of their 7 pound, 14 ounce, 20.5 inches long, baby girl.

Riley was originally due on January 8. However, due to high blood pressure issues, Landyn headed to the hospital where she was induced to ensure a healthy delivery for mom and baby.

The couple received various gifts from hospital staff for being the first baby of the New Year.
