A murder suspect from West Tennessee was arrested on Monday in Mayfield.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office got a tip that 19-year-old Jeremiah Lamonte Davis of Dyersburg was at a residence on Foster Street in Mayfield. Monday morning, deputies were joined by Mayfield Police, Kentucky State Police, McCracken County Sheriff's deputies, and U.S. Marshals as they went to the home in search of Davis.

Davis tried to flee by breaking out a window and running through the neighborhood. A K-9 from the U.S. Marshal Service took Davis down. Once he was medically cleared, Davis was arrested and taken to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center before being transferred to the Calloway County Jail.

Davis is waiting to be extradited to Dyer County to face a first-degree murder charge.
