Severe thunderstorm watch until 9 PM

UPDATE: A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued until 9:00 p.m. for the westernmost counties of western Kentucky and southern Illinois, along with all of southeast Missouri.


ORIGINAL STORY:
Thunderstorms will return late this afternoon and tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

A few severe storms will be possible, with large hail and damaging winds the main concerns. A few tornadoes can't be ruled out.

Timing looks to be between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.
