A Missouri man has been charged with murder after the McCracken County Sheriff's Office alleges he intentionally caused a crash on I-24, last week, that killed a woman.
The crash happened on I-24 between Husband Road and U.S. 68, when a pickup truck crossed over the median and crashed into an eastbound semi.
Deputies said the passenger in the pickup, 51-year-old Tammy King of Salem, Missouri, sustained critical injuries and was flown to an out-of-state hospital. She died the following morning as a result of her injuries.
The driver, 44-year-old Jared King, who deputies believe intentionally drove into the semi's path, was also seriously injured and taken to a local hospital. He was arrested Thursday after being released from the hospital.
He was charged with murder, wanton endangerment, operating on a suspended license and disregarding a traffic control device.
