A missing man's body was recovered Wednesday from near where he had last been seen near Clarks River Road.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, detectives and the coroner's office were called out at about 11:30 p.m. after the body of Robert Daryl Dennis was located in the water off Clark's River Road.

Dennis was last seen Wednesday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. near where he had been working on Clark's River Road, according to a social media post from family.

James Marine, Incorporated issued a statement that Dennis was found just upstream from their Walker Boat Yard facility. They said he was not one of their employees but had been working on vessels belonging to his employer. They encouraged anyone with information about what happened to contact the McCracken County Sheriff's Office.

They also offered thoughts, prayers, and condolences to Dennis' family.

Foul play is not suspected at this time.
