Stolen credit card information in McCracken County led to the arrest of a Memphis, TN man Tuesday on fraud and out of state charges.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office said the victim reported her credit card information had been stolen and fraudulently used at a local store. The reported theft was over $5,000.
The responding deputy was able to obtain a video that included the suspect, 38-year-old Antonio R. Thompson and the vehicle he was driving at the time of the theft. Deputies then discovered Thompson's vehicle was actively driving in the area of Jackson, MS.
McCracken County authorities contacted the Capitol Police Department and Gluckstadt Police Department in the greater Jackson area. Officers were able to find the vehicle and conduct a traffic stop identifying the driver as Thompson.
Thompson was placed under arrest for local charges. Deputies of the McCracken County Sheriff's Office applied for an arrest warrant for Thompson which was served.
