The McCracken County Sheriff's Office arrested three individuals this week as part of separate narcotics investigations targeting the trafficking of methamphetamine in the county.
In April, detectives initiated an investigation into 38-year-old Melissa S. Jones. They determined that Jones was conspiring with others to traffic methamphetamine. As a result, a McCracken County Grand Jury indicted Jones in June on a charge of conspiracy to traffic in Methamphetamine.
On June 23, deputies located Jones and arrested her on the outstanding indictment warrant. Deputies also recovered a small quantity of meth from her possession.
On June 25, narcotics detectives executed a search at a home on Main Street in Paducah. Detectives seized approximately 52 grams of meth, digital scales, and other items consistent with the trafficking of controlled substances.
Detectives arrested 47-year-old Robert V. Cramer in connection with the seized narcotics. Investigators believe Cramer had been distributing meth in the area for approximately six months.
That same day in a separate investigation, detectives executed a search on Meacham Lane in McCracken County. Deputies stopped 50-year-old Eric Lawrence as he attempted to leave the residence. Detectives recovered approximately 64 grams of meth from Lawrence's truck. Additional controlled substances and cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales were also recovered from Lawrence's person and inside the residence.
Jones, Cramer, and Lawrence were all lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
