A McCracken County man was arrested on drug trafficking charges Thursday.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said a cooperating witness in an investigation involving 35-year-old Austin Dailey agreed to make a $20 purchase of methamphetamine.
Deputies then got a search warrant for Dailey's Ted WIlliams Drive home where they found Dailey concealed beneath the residence using a trap door located in a bedroom. He was taken into custody without incident.
A quantity of meth was found in Dailey’s pants pocket, believed to be intended for distribution. A search of the residence also resulted in the discovery drug paraphernalia, including pipes, one of which Dailey claimed ownership.
Another individual at the residence, admitted to using meth and stated Dailey had provided him with both the substance and a pipe.
Dailey was charged with trafficking in meth and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
