The case against a Murray woman charged in a stabbing incident recently at Goodwill is headed to a grand jury.
The Murray Ledger and Times reported Thursday a preliminary hearing was held in Calloway District Court Wednesday for 30-year-old Madison Hinchey.
Hinchey is accused of attempted murder, and two assault charges in connection with the April 21st incident.
Murray Police said at the time of Hinchey's arrest, they reported Hinchey confronted a female worker in the store, pulled a knife from her purse, chased her through the store to the loading dock area and stabbed her. The male worker who confronted Hinchey was struck with a snow shovel.
During Wednesday's hearing it was also noted Murray Police were called for a welfare check on Hinchey earlier that day at her home.
Calloway District Judge Randall Hutchins sent the case to a Calloway County grand jury, who will hear the case June 26th, with arraignment scheduled for July 6th.
