McCracken County man jailed on drug charges following traffic stop

A traffic stop Tuesday morning leads to the arrest of a McCracken County man.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office pulled over a vehicle around 1:45 am at the I-24 Exit 7 off ramp.

A passenger in the vehicle, Kenneth Mitchell, first provided false identifying information to deputies.  During the investigation, deputies found marijuana, methamphetamine, cash and other items consistent with drug trafficking.

Mitchell was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
