McCracken County Sheriff's office presents Citizens Academy

Deadline for Citizens Academy Class #6 is September 18, 2023.

Classes will be October 12, 19, 26, and November 2, 2023, from 6 pm-9 pm each night. The class is free!

Academy Topics may include:
-Patrol Operations
-Courthouse Operations
-Criminal Investigations
-Overview of the legal process
-Constitutional duties of the Sheriff
-Tour of the department, 9-1-1 Center, and the jail
-Specialized units: K-9, SWAT, Accident Reconstruction, Drone Operations
-Ride Along
-Firearms day (voluntary)
-Interactive firearms and our NEW Virtual Reality
Who Should Attend?
Persons from all walks of life. They include concerned citizens, Neighborhood Watch members, elected officials, members of the media, independent business workers, church members, college students, potential law enforcement applicants, etc. This course is for anyone wanting to better understand how the McCracken County Sheriff's Office serves you!
