Juvenile arrested in connection with Christian County school threat

A juvenile has been arrested in connection with alleged threats made against Christian County Schools made on social media the last few days.

Hopkinsville Police said Wednesday in a social media post, detectives along with the cooperation of the FBI and Christian County Schools arrested the Hopkinsville juvenile.


Monday afternoon police were notified of a threat being made through social media platforms by an unknown person to shoot several students. After an extensive investigation, detectives were able to determine the juvenile had custody and control of the device used to create and share threatening messages. 

While police were conducting their investigation, it was discovered the juvenile attempted to delete evidence of their involvement.  

The juvenile has been charged with complicity in terroristic threatening and tampering with physical evidence and was remanded to the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
