Mayfield Independent Schools investigate third party fund raising

Mayfield Independent Schools said Wednesday in a social media post some local businesses may have been approached by third-party vendors requesting financial contributions for school-related activities, including academic and sports programs. 

The school system clarified that any legitimate fundraising endeavor initiated by the school will be communicated through official channels and coordinated directly by school staff.

Local businesses may disregard unsolicited emails or requests from third-party vendors seeking donations on behalf of the schools.
