The National Weather Service in Paducah says this season`s first frost has the potential to occur on Wednesday and Thursday morning.
A frost advisory has been issued for the entire region in effect Wednesday from 1 a.m. until 9 a.m. Temperatures falling to 35 degrees will allow frost to form.
A few of the typical cold spots may even drop to near the freezing mark for low temperatures.
Thursday morning has the same 35 degree low, but calm winds will allow more widespread frost to form.
Friday morning's forecast so far is 39, then a return to morning lows in the 40s beginning on Saturday.
Mid week highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s will transition back into the 70s over the weekend.
Looking ahead, both the 6-10 and 8-14 day outlooks call for above normal temps and below normal precipitation. Paducah's normal high this week is 72, and the normal low is 42.
