Passport by Molina Healthcare recently donated $40,000 to the Mayfield Graves County Long Term Recovery Group to support their New Lease on Life Program.
The New Lease on Life program was created to provide housing for survivors who lived in rental property destroyed by the December 2021 tornado.
Thw New Lease on Life program purchases vacant homes in the city of Mayfield and Graves County and utilizes their partner network to make needed repairs and improvements to the home.
The homes will include energy efficient appliances and heating/cooling units to lower the overall cost of home ownership.
New Lease on Life also partners with the LTRG and their Disaster Case Managers to identify eligible survivors and matches them with homes based upon family size, location and financial sustainability.
After one year of leasing the home, the survivor will be allowed to purchase the home at a significantly reduced rate.
