A Marshall County man was arrested near Paducah on Wednesday on charges involving fentanyl.

Earlier this month, detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff's Department allegedly made undercover fentanyl purchases from 22-year-old Brice Alexander of the Griggstown Road area of Marshall County.

Following the reported purchases, detectives got a warrant for Alexander's arrest on the trafficking charge.

Thursday, detectives found Alexander on Old US 60 in the western part of McCracken County. A narcotics K-9 alerted deputies to alleged drugs in Alaexander's vehicle during the arrest. Suspected fentanyl residue was reportedly located in burnt foils in his vehicle.

Alexander was served the trafficking warrant and was also charged with fentanyl possession.
