Cattle rustling is not just an issue left behind in the days of the old west, but an all too real problem for one modern day farmer in Marshall County.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office shared a Facebook post on Monday detailing a recent cattle theft.

It was reported that 21 head of cattle were stolen from a farm just outside of Benton. The owner of the cattle said there were seven weight heifers in the group that are tagged in the left ear. They also said there was damage to the shades for the cattle.

According to the post, witnesses believe a red truck with a flat bed and aluminum trailer was involved with the theft.

The owner also shared they are offering a $2,500 reward for information and arrest of those involved.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office at 270-527-3112.
