A man accused of leading police on a February high-speed chase and eventually rescued from a swamp is again wanted by authorities.

According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, 37-year-old Guadalupe A. Martinez of Mayfield is wanted in Ballard and Graves counties for failing to appear in court.

The sheriff’s office said Martinez was charged on February 24 with fleeing or evading, DUI, speeding 106 mph and other charges in both counties in connection with a police chase.

Martinez led deputies on a high-speed pursuit in Graves County through Carlisle County and Ballard County. The chase ended when Martinez crashed in Ballard County and took off running through a swamp, where he got stuck in the mud and had to be rescued by deputies.

Martinez is described as weighing 160 pounds, 5-foot-10-inches tall with black hair and brown eyes.

The sheriff’s office said Martinez is aware he is wanted by authorities.

Anyone with information on Martinez’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Graves County Sheriff’s Office or their local police department.
