A man accused of trying to lure girls from a gas station in Eddyville with alcohol ended up arrested for drug possession.

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office got the call about a suspicious person in an SUV at about 5 p.m. Monday. Deputies were told that the man was using the alcohol as bait to get three girls to go to his RV with him. The man took off when a friend of the juveniles tried to confront him.

Deputies and Kentucky State Police troopers identified the man as 32-year-old Aaron M. Stuart of Kuttawa after he called them to suggest he was a victim in the gas station incident. Authorities also found that Stuart was already under the supervision of Kentucky Probation and Parole after being convicted of a felony in another state.

The incident spurred Kentucky Probation and Parole to call in Lyon County deputies and KSP to make a home visit to Stuart that evening. That visit resulted in Stuart's arrest after he was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

A woman present at the time of the visit, 39-year-old Megan M. Teeters of Kuttawa, was arrested as well. She was also charged with methamphetamine possession.

The gas station incident and one like it at a Kuttawa business are still under investigation.
