A 15-year-old juvenile has been arrested following threats made to Lyon County High School, separate from the incident that occurred on Friday.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office said they received a complaint on Sunday regarding threats made to the high school from a student which they said were separate from From Friday's original incident. For more on that incident you can click here.
Deputies and school administrators collaborated to identify the suspect and any witnesses to those threats.
Authorities discovered during their investigation the juvenile had reportedly made one alarming statement and one threatening statement to fellow students during the lockdown period following Friday’s incident.
Juveniles who overheard these statements reported it to their family members on Sunday evening, resulting in calls to school administrators and the Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff's Office said they arrested a 15-year-old juvenile male early Monday morning. The juvenile student was charged with terroristic threatening and has since been lodged in the McCracken Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
