WKDZ reported that the Lyon County Sheriff's office said school resource officers were notified Friday after district personnel reported threats of violence made by a student.
Authorities said multiple witnesses were interviewed, and a student from Princeton was identified as the person who allegedly made threatening statements that “indicated a plan to bring a gun to school and shoot indiscriminately.”
After consultation with the Lyon County Attorney’s Office, the student was detained and charged with second-degree terroristic threatening, a Class D Felony.
The investigation is continuing.
