A Lyon County juvenile was arrested Friday after reports of threats made against several Lyon County High School students.
Authorities said they were contacted by school staff alleging that a student had made several threats against other students after school dismissed on Thursday.
After speaking with several students, state police said they were able to determine that a student had made threatening statements including specific threats against several students.
A 14-year-old suspect was detained at the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of terroristic threatening and disorderly conduct.
State police urged all parents and children to be attentive to suspicious activity. Any threatening statements or suspicious activity should be reported by contacting state police at 270-856-3721 or anonymously at 1-800-222-5555.
