Lyon County churches sought to become storm shelters

As spring severe weather season arrives, Lyon County Emergency Management is seeking additional churches that would be able to serve as storm shelters if necessary.

They said that churches in Lyon County with basements or other secure areas can be registered as emergency shelters.

Churches currently listed as storm shelters include:

Hopewell Baptist
Kuttawa First Baptist
Lamasco Baptist
Chestnut Oak Methodist
Macedonia Baptist
Bethany Baptist
New Bethel Baptist
