Lyon County Sheriff's Office investigating nuisance complaints

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is gathering information after receiving numerous property complaints.

Authorities said they've received multiple Public Nuisance violation complaints since the fall of 2023.

The complaints typically go through the County Attorney's Office to the county's Nuisance Enforcement Board. However, due to the number of recent complaints, the sheriff's office said they'll be visiting areas reported by residents to gather additional information.

The public is encouraged to review the nuisance ordinance.

Anyone that knows of a property that could be in violation is asked to contact the sheriff's office.
