Low-hanging power lines on Clarks River Road caused a two vehicle accident Saturday morning.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to Clarks River Road due to the low-hanging powerlines. As deputies were arriving on scene a two vehicle collision occurred due to the powerlines.
Deputies said a cement truck operated by Brian Green was inbound on Clarks River Road in the left lane with another vehicle operated by Joseph Shane next to it in the right lane. Green then struck the low-hanging power line causing the lines to break and strike Joseph’s vehicle in the driver side. Neither driver was injured during the collision. Both vehicles were operational and were able to safely leave the scene.
The traffic collision caused the powerlines to completely cover the inbound lane of Clarks River Road resulting in the complete shutdown of the inbound lanes of Clarks River Road for several hours.
