Local teachers recognized as McDonald's Outstanding Educators

Several local teachers have been named as 2021 McDonald's Outstanding Educators out of a pool of more than 720 nominations.

Winners of the outstanding educator award receive a $100 Visa gift card to use toward their classroom, a "Best Teacher Ever!" coffee mug, and McDonald's coupons to provide to parents with outstanding students. In addition, local McDonald's restaurants dedicated additional funds to award one exceptional educator with a $1,000 Visa gift card.

Stephanie Ford of Reidland Middle School was this year's $1,000 winner.

This year's $100 winners include:

• Kimberly Anderson with Marshall County High School;
• Joy Lampley with Concord Elementary School;
• Jennifer Ernstberger with Calloway County High School;
• McKinzie Gregory of Mayfield Middle School;
• Amanda Guzik with Lyon County High School;
• Kendra Morehead of Metropolis Elementary School;
• David Everly with Muhlenberg County High School;
• Taylor Ruth of Jesse Stuart Elementary School;
• Kellie Montgomery with Providence Elementary;

Local McDonald's Owner Michael Love Jr. said recognizing teachers for all they do is a top priority for local McDonald's restaurants.

"Our local educators are the definition of perseverance and loyalty. They show up and give their all day after day to make sure our students thrive," said Love, Jr. "We're excited to recognize those who go above and beyond for our students through the Outstanding Educator awards."

Love, Jr. and his father and fellow McDonald's Owner, Mike Love, partnered with other local McDonald's operators, including Michael Burrell, Kelsey Hamlet, Chris McEnaney, Joe McEnaney, and Kathy McEnaney, to honor area educators.
