Flooding caused issues at the Crittenden County Courthouse on Wednesday.

Staff arrived Wednesday morning to find flooded floors in the circuit court office. The cause was apparently a leaky pipe from a new boiler system that's being installed.

The rest of the courthouse stayed open, but water was shut off for repairs.

This isn't the first issue the new boiler system has caused. During fall, a temporary heating system had to be set up outside to pump warm air into the building through the front door.

The 60-year-old courthouse is set to be demolished in the near future due to longstanding issues with the roof, asbestos, space, security, and access for the disabled.

A new $11 million county justice center is planned at the same location.
