One injured in I-24 semi accident in Marshall County

One person was injured when a semi ran off the road on I-24 in Marshall County Wednesday morning.

The Marshall County Emergency Management Agency reported that just before 5 am, a semi tractor trailer went off the roadway near the 27 mile marker and went into the tree line.  

The truck had two occupants, one who complained of an hip issue and was taken to an area hospital.

Diesel fuel also reportedly leaked into a creek.
