Reports of an armed robbery and kidnapping in Kuttawa landed two people behind bars on drug trafficking charges last Thursday.
Two men from out-of-state reported a man and woman picked them up on the promise of receiving food and fuel in return.
Once in Kuttawa, one of the victims said his credit card wasn't working, which reportedly caused the suspect to order them back into the vehicle.
The driver allegedly became angry and pulled out a gun, before forcing them out at gun point and making them empty their pockets.
The victims were then left at a rural church.
Authorities said they identified the suspects and searched a home in Marion, which reportedly uncovered meth, cash, a handgun, ammunition, and paraphernalia.
Two occupants, identified as 35-year-old William Mayers, Jr. of Marion, and 44-year-old Joseph A. Workman of Salem, were arrested.
The robbery and kidnapping remain under investigation.
