Kuttawa Cannonball Run donates thousands of dollars to Lyon County community

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office shared news on Monday of the "generous" donations the Kuttawa Cannonball Run has made to the county this year.

In a post to Facebook, the Sheriff's office said the Kuttawa Cannonball Run contributed $30,000 for facility upgrades at the Sheriffs' Boys and Girls Ranch. The group also donated $25,000 to the County's Water Response Unit. The Sheriff's Office said that money will be used for new engines on their dive boat. In addition to that the group donated $5,000 to the Sheriff's Office K-9 program.

In the post Sheriff Brent White encouraged the public to support this event going forward as they have supported the community in multiple ways and said they can't thank them enough. 

In a separate post to the Kuttawa Cannonball Run's Facebook page, the group said they are happy and thankful about the contributions they are able to make to some outstanding organizations in the Lyon County community.
