Kevil woman dies of injuries sustained in recent traffic accident

A Kevil woman has succumbed to injuries sustained in a recent traffic accident.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday 26-year-old Tawnya Scott died last Friday at an out of state hospital. 

The accident occurred the morning of January 12th around 7:30 am in the 6400 block of New Liberty Church Road.

Investigaators said Scott's southbound vehicle for unknown reasons left the roadway, overcorrected and rolled numerous times before coming to rest. Scott was ejected from the vehicle.

She was first treated at a local hospital, then taken to the out of state hospital..
