A traffic stop on Tuesday ended with the arrest of a Kevil man on drug charges.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office said detectives noticed an alleged drug transaction around 2pm in the parking lot of a business in the Lone Oak area.
Detectives then stopped the suspect's vehicle on Lone Oak Road and were able to identify the driver as 38-year-old Aaron Jenkins of Kevil.
During the stop detectives said Jenkins admitted that he had just sold a quantity of Marijuana. Detectives searched the vehicle and allegedly found jars containing Marijuana, plastic baggies, scales and a small quantity of Methamphetamine.
Jenkins was charged with trafficking in marijuana 2nd or subsequent offense, possession of Methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to or improper signal.
The Sheriff's Office said Jenkins was on probation at the time of his arrest for trafficking and importing Heroin.
