Kentucky Public Health Commissioner Dr. Steven Stack announced an error in reporting vaccination numbers from an unnamed national pharmacy to the Federal reporting system.

Stack informed public health directors statewide that the pharmacy had been reporting numbers in two separate systems, which resulted in duplicate numbers. The error has been filtered down to several states, including Kentucky.

Stack told Marshall County Public Health Director Billy Pitts the Federal Government and the pharmacy are working to correct the reporting issue and remove duplicate numbers.

Pitts said the number of people reported as vaccinated in Marshall County would possibly show a decrease depending on how many residents in the community received their vaccination from the unnamed pharmacy.

Stack said the correction to the reporting system should take place in the early part of next week.
