Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of a female inmate at the Fulton County Detention Center.
State Police said they were contacted just before 4pm on Friday that an inmate, 40-year-old Charlina M. Easley of Dresden, TN, was found unresponsive in her cell and transported to a local medical center where she was pronounced deceased.
During the investigation KSP detectives said they discovered that another female inmate, 42-year-old Brandy Reynolds of South Fulton, TN, had concealed fentanyl on her person during intake at the jail. Reynolds is suspected of providing that fentanyl to Easley, as well as several other female inmates.
Reynolds has been charged by KSP detectives with six counts of promoting contraband. She remains lodged at the Fulton County Jail.
An autopsy was conducted on Easley and toxicology results are pending.
