Info sought on who damaged a Ballard County bridge

Officials are seeking information to determine who or what caused damage to a bridge in Ballard County.

The Ballard County Road Department contacted KYTC inspectors to check damage to the Humphries Creek Bridge on Ceredo Road between Hinkleville Road and Yates Lane.

The bridge has heavy damage to the curb and the top of a box beam on one side of the bridge. The Ballard County Sheriff did not receive any reports of a crash at the site.

Inspectors determined the damaged had happened as recently as the past few days, or as long as a few weeks.

Ceredo Road remains open, but traffic barrels have been placed along the damaged curb.
