The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet  is extending a closure of KY 121 in northwestern Graves County through Friday  to repair concrete damage caused by a vehicle Wednesday morning.

KY 121 was closed to all traffic Tuesday morning to allow concrete repairs on the Canadian National Railroad Overpass deck between KY 1213 and KY 339.

The closure was to be in place through Thursday but is being extended to at least Friday due to damage to freshly poured concrete caused by a motorist who moved and drove around numerous road closure signs.

The vehicle left two-inch deep ruts in concrete that had been poured at several locations along the deck.  The impacted area will be jackhammered out a second time and replaced to repair the new damage.

Anyone with information on the vehicle that caused the damage is asked to contact KYTC District 1 at 270-898-2431, or contact the Graves County Sheriff or Kentucky State Police
