Juvenile injured in Lyon County golf cart crash

A juvenile was injured last week in a crash involving a golf cart in Lyon County.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said the child was a passenger in a cart driven by 33-year-old Sharon Carlton of Macedonia, Illinois. Deputies said that Carlton was driving the rented cart along Holiday Hills Drive when the wheels dropped off the right side of the road. Carlton reportedly lost control and went up an embankment before rolling over.

The juvenile girl was taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Carlton and the other passengers were not hurt.
