It's time again for the annual visit of 30,000 quilting enthusiasts to downtown Paducah this week.
The American Quilters Society presents its spring show and contest through Saturday at the Schroeder Expo Center.
Competitive quilters from around the world are in the running for thousands of dollars in prizes. Last year's top winner hailed from California, Japan and Australia.
Visitors will enjoy displays of contest quilts, along with workshops, lectures, and meet with dozens of vendors to peruse and purchase fabrics, supplies and more.
Single-day admission is $12 daily for AQS members, and $15 for non-members. Multi-day passes are also available.
Park 'n Ride shuttles are available from Kentucky Oaks Mall near Best Buy. Shuttles will leave the mall every 20-30 minutes, from 7:30 a.m.
A shuttle will also run from the Expo Center to the inflatable Pavilion, the Finkel building, Walker Hall, and Clemens Fine Arts Center for specific scheduled events.
A new quilt-themed panel on the Paducah floodwall will be unveiled on Thursday at 4 p.m.
Keep up with events at the AQS website and their Facebook page.
