Investigation leads to trafficking arrest in Mayfield

A Mayfield man was arrested on trafficking charges Tuesday morning.

According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, 55-year-old Clifford C. Jones was taken into custody at the Mayfield Plaza Apartments.

The Sheriff's Office reports a drug investigation into illegal drug sales in Graves County resulted in Jones' covert purchase of methamphetamine from detectives, on two occasions.

Jones was taken to an out of county detention center.
