Hopkinsville teen injured in accidental shooting

A Hopkinsville teenager was injured Monday afternoon in an accidental shooting.

According to WKDZ, Christian County Sheriff's deputies were called when a 15-year-old male came into the hospital with a gunshot wound. During their investigation, the deputies determined that the teen accidentally fired the gun injuring his leg. The incident reportedly took place in the Woodland Heights area off Greenville Road in Hopkinsville.

The teen's injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to deputies, and no one else was injured.
