Hopkinsville shooting victim airlifted to Nashville hospital

Hopkinsville Police are investigating a shooting that injured one person Monday morning.

Officers were called to West 16th Street just after 3 a.m. after shots were reportedly fired. According to the report, they found one male victim who was wounded in both arms.

Police and Hopkinsville Fire and EMS treated the man at the scene. He was eventually flown to a hospital in Nashville to continue treatment.

Police are asking for more information from anyone who may have witnessed the shooting, as their investigation continues.
