Hit-and-run on Brookport Bridge injures motorcyclist

A hit-and-run crash on the Brookport Bridge injured one person on a motorcycle.

The crash happened at about 8:20 p.m. on Thursday, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

Witnesses told deputies that a silver Honda car ran into the back of a motorcycle while headed from Illinois southbound on the bridge. The witnesses also said the vehicle drove around the rider, who was lying on the deck of the bridge.

The rider, identified as Caleb Hagen of Paducah, was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Deputies seek to locate the vehicle that fled, described as a silver Honda passenger car with damage to the headlight area on the driver’s side. They ask that anyone with information about the crash or the run vehicle contact the police.
