Hickman County man arrested on child sexual exploitation offenses

A Hickman County man was arrested on charges related to child sexual abuse material.

On Wednesday the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested 31-year-old Joshua R. Baird as a result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. 

The investigation began after police said it was discovered Baird was sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.

During a search of Baird's home in Clinton, police said they seized equipment used to facilitate the crime.

Baird is currently charged with one count of promoting a minor under 16 years old in a sex performance. The charge is a Class-B felony punishable by ten to twenty years in prison.
