Showers and a few thunderstorms will stream over southeast Missouri and southern Illinois through Monday night, and then a band of heavy showers will move east across the entire Quad State on Tuesday and Tuesday night.
A heavy band of precipitation is forecast to stay just to our west tonight through Monday, and may graze our western counties.
Severe weather is unlikely with lightning and heavy downpours being the main issues.
On Tuesday, another system brings a cold front through the area with widespread precip possible.
Three inches or more of rainfall will be possible over the Ozark Foothills, which could lead to some flooding issues, especially low water crossings.
Tuesday's rain in southern Illinois and western Kentucky looks to be limited to an inch or inch-and-a-half.
