A Gilbertsville woman was arrested Monday at a Cumberland Road residence.

The Marshall County Sherriff's Office said they were attempting to serve a warrant on 40-year-old Nicole Messer.

When Messer was told she was under arrest, she reportedly slammed the door on the deputy and fled into the residence.  Deputies made entry and took Messer into custody.

Messer was charged with resisting arrest and served the bench warrant issued out of McCracken District Court for the charge of contempt of court.
