Gas prices rise in first week of new year

Gas prices in Western Kentucky are on the rise this week.

Triple A's East Central Gas Report indicates the average price for a gallon of gas this week is $2.69, up a nickel from last week.

Paducah's average price this week is six cents higher than the region average at $2.75 per gallon.  Nationally, this week's average price is $3.06 per gallon, four cents higher than last week.
